Due to a chain of coincidences and changes in the International power play I ended up living in Jerusalem for five weeks the summer of 2006. Thanks to Amit, Amir and the other friendly people in the Israeli paragliding club Holy Wind I could spend some of the time soaring along Israels beautiful Mediterranean coast, at Arsuf (close to Ga’ash) and Netanya. The more powerful mountain sites in the north were all off limits due to the war with Lebanon. In the end though, a cease-fire allowed me to go to Mevo Hama, in the Southern golan Heights, for some nice thermal flying over the minefields. In november 2006. we moved to Jerusalem, and I continued to fly in the area.
